Ecommerce Automation with AI: Orders, Inventory & Catalogue

Automate the back office behind your store: order processing, courier booking, stock sync, product content and returns. Your team handles the exceptions instead of the data entry.

Overview

Ecommerce automation with AI, from checkout to restock

Behind every online store is a back office held together by copy and paste. Orders are exported, checked and re-keyed into the courier portal. Stock counts are updated by hand between Shopify, Daraz and the ERP. New products wait for someone to write the description. Returns are tracked in a spreadsheet. Ecommerce automation with AI connects these steps so they run on their own, and uses language and vision models for the parts that used to need a person to read, judge or write.

Rules-based tools can move data between apps, but they break on anything messy. AI handles the messy parts. It reads a free-text address and corrects the city and area before booking the courier. It flags an order as high-risk when the phone number, address and order history don't add up. It turns a supplier's spreadsheet and product photos into clean titles, attributes and descriptions in English and Arabic, written in your brand's tone. It reads a customer's return message and sorts it into refund, exchange or inspect.

Catalogue automation is work we know well. We built AI product descriptions and AI product images into Commify.ai, our own platform for SME e-commerce. On the operations side, we use the patterns we built for AA JoyLand, where WhatsApp conversations trigger automated PDF sending and lead records, and for CanVisas, where qualified leads are routed straight to the right consultant. Every automation runs through your store's API, your courier APIs and your ERP, such as Odoo or SAP Business One, with a log of every action and a review queue for anything uncertain.

You decide what runs automatically and what needs a click from your team. Most stores start with the workflow that eats the most hours, usually order processing or product content, and extend from there once it has run cleanly through a sale period.

FAQ

AI Automation for E-commerce: FAQs

What can be automated in an ecommerce business?

Order validation, courier booking, tracking updates, stock syncing, purchase order drafts, product content, returns, refunds and promotion setup are the most common. Any high-volume task that follows rules is a good candidate.

Can AI write product descriptions for my whole catalogue?

Yes. It generates titles, descriptions, attributes and translations from your supplier data and images, in your tone, and queues them for review before publishing. We built the same capability into Commify.ai.

Will AI-written product descriptions hurt our SEO?

Not if they are useful. Search engines judge whether content helps shoppers, not who typed it. We generate from real product data, avoid copy that repeats across variants and keep a human review step.

Can you sync inventory between Shopify, Daraz and our warehouse?

Yes, in most cases. We connect through each platform's seller API and your ERP or warehouse system, and set rules for buffers so you don't oversell during a sale.

Do we need to change our ecommerce platform?

No. We automate around the store, couriers and ERP you already use. Your team keeps working in the tools it knows.

Can automation book couriers for us?

Yes, where the courier offers an API. The automation picks the courier by city or service level, books the shipment and pushes tracking back to the order and the customer.

How quickly will we see results from ecommerce automation?

Usually within the first workflow. We start with the task that costs the most hours so the time saved shows up early, then extend. We estimate the impact for your order volume during discovery.
